ENDORSEMENT LETTERS FOR Stan Sturgeon

VICKIE RAINES ENDORSEMENT LETTER

 July 20, 2026

It is my pleasure to share my support and endorsement of Stan Sturgeon for Grays Harbor County Commissioner, District 3.

I have had the privilege of working alongside Stan for several years relating to flooding issues affecting Connor Creek and the surrounding communities. Through that experience, I have come to know Stan as someone who doesn’t simply talk about problems— he rolls up his sleeves, gets his hands dirty, and quite literally gets his feet wet to help solve them. His commitment to protecting his neighbors, friends and community has never wavered.

Stan understands that effective leadership requires action, collaboration, and persistence. He was instrumental in supporting the creation of the Ocean City Drainage District and currently serves as Chair of its Board of Commissioners. His leadership has helped bring people together to address long-standing infrastructure and drainage challenges that directly impact the safety and quality of life of area residents, local commerce and transportation.

In addition to his community leadership, Stan is employed by the North Beach School District and has also served on the North Beach School District Board of Directors. His dedication to public service, education, and responsible stewardship of public resources demonstrates the values we should expect from our elected officials.

What impresses me most about Stan is that he leads with integrity and a genuine desire to make his community better. He listens, he works hard, and he follows through. Those qualities will serve the citizens of Grays Harbor County exceptionally well.

While Stan is seeking to represent District 3, I have no doubt that he will approach the role with the best interests of the entire county in mind. He understands that the success of one community contributes to the success of all communities across Grays Harbor County.

I encourage the voters of Grays Harbor County to join me in supporting Stan Sturgeon for County Commissioner. I am confident he will provide Grays Harbor with thoughtful, responsible, and effective leadership.

RE: Endorsement for County Commissioner, District 3

Stan Sturgeon is running for Grays Harbor County Commissioner, District 3. I am happy to endorse Stan for this important position at this important time.

I have worked closely with Stan since September 2023 on North Beach flood issues. In that time I have come to know and appreciate the many qualities Stan possesses that would make him an excellent candidate for County Commissioner.

Stan has the temperament and demeanor to serve as a County leader. Stan is level-headed,

thoughtful and considerate, friendly, fair-minded, and not afraid to act to move the County forward.

Stan has public and private sector experience that would benefit the County. Stan can hit the ground running as a Commissioner (drawing from his many years as a North Beach School District leader and current Ocean City Drainage District Commissioner) and bring a private sector sensitivity (and sensibility) to the need for efficient government service delivery having been a home builder and business owner.

Lastly, Stan is a District 3 resident, neighbor, and friend to many. Stan has a track record of

volunteer ship and community service. Stan is part of the fabric of Grays Harbor County.

Stan Sturgeon would in my opinion make an excellent District 3 Commissioner.

Letter of Support for Stan Sturgeon for Grays Harbor County Commissioner

To Whom It May Concern,

I am pleased to offer my wholehearted support for Stan Sturgeon in his candidacy for Grays Harbor County Commissioner.

I have had the privilege of knowing Stan since 2019, both personally and professionally, through our shared efforts to improve facilities within the North Beach School District. During that time, I witnessed firsthand his unwavering commitment to serving his community and his dedication to finding practical solutions to complex challenges.

Stan consistently approached every project with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for students, staff, and taxpayers. His objective was always clear: modernize and improve district facilities while utilizing every available resource to minimize the financial impact on the local tax base. He understood the importance of being a responsible steward of public funds and worked diligently to maximize results without placing unnecessary burdens on the community.

What distinguishes Stan is his ability to bring people together, evaluate opportunities from multiple perspectives, and make decisions based on what is best for the long-term success of the region. He is thoughtful, hardworking, and genuinely invested in the well-being of Grays Harbor County and its residents. His leadership is grounded in accountability, transparency, and a strong desire to make a positive difference.

Through our years of working together, I have come to respect Stan's integrity, work ethic, and commitment to public service. I am confident that he will bring those same qualities to the role of County Commissioner and serve the citizens of Grays Harbor County with distinction.

I strongly encourage voters to support Stan Sturgeon for Grays Harbor County Commissioner.

Sincerely, Scott Lewis
