My history on the harbor:

I have called Grays Harbor home for the past 50 years. After graduating from North Beach High School in Moclips, I chose to build my life here, raising my family in the community that has given so much to us. Today, I want to give back through continued public service.

For the past 42 years, I have been blessed to share this journey with my wife and best friend. Together, we have raised five children and are proud grandparents to twelve grandchildren, six of whom currently live in Grays Harbor County. Knowing that future generations of my family will live, work, and raise families here is a deeply personal reason for my commitment to the people and future of Grays Harbor County.

My public service experience includes 12 years on the North Beach School District Board of Directors, where I worked to support students, families, and responsible stewardship of public resources. Beyond my board service, I have devoted countless volunteer hours throughout the county, including coaching youth sports, participating in Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife projects, and serving as Chairman of the Twin Harbors Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

I approach every challenge with common sense, strong organizational skills, and a focus on achieving practical results for the community. Throughout my career and volunteer service, I have learned how to manage resources responsibly while keeping long-term needs and priorities in view.

Most recently, I helped lead efforts to address the longstanding flooding issues along State Route 109. By building productive relationships among the Washington State Department of Transportation, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and local residents, we successfully established the Ocean City Drainage District—a collaborative solution that will help protect residents and improve the area for years to come.

My commitment has always been to serve the people of Grays Harbor County, preserve the values that make our communities strong, and ensure that future generations have the same opportunities that my family has enjoyed here.

 My Vision:

I believe that effective governance begins with a deep understanding of the communities we serve. I have lived, worked, and raised my family in Grays Harbor. I will lead with a commitment to transparency and thoughtful leadership, ensuring that every policy I advocate for is grounded and meets community needs. I believe that I have the public and private sector experience that would benefit the county and the proven track record to back it up.

Throughout my professional life I have learned to focus on building bridges between all stakeholders. I will be dedicated to fostering an environment where innovation and tradition coexist, working for sustainable progress for all of Grays Harbor County.

Leading with integrity, flexibility, and accountability ensures that decisions align with the best interests of all citizens while building trust. By aligning my words with actions and embracing adaptability I am able to navigate change, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and providing public service.
